Martial Cottle Ranch Oral History Project in San Jose

Client: County of Santa Clara Parks and Recreation Department, CA., 2007

 

We conducted an extensive oral history interview project with Mr. Walter Lester, last heir of the Martial Cottle Ranch, for a collaboration between Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation and California State Parks to create Martial Cottle Park State Historic Park.  On site interviews with Mr. Lester included a video walk of the ranch and built environment, an interview regarding his family’s history, and an interview describing and discussing his family’s photos. We scanned all relevant family photos.
